The best conservation for these dried porcini mushrooms is inside a glass jar away from humidity and heat, adding a few grains of black pepper inside the container. They freeze very well even in the freezer stored in an airtight container. It is advisable to soak them in warm water for about an hour before use, eliminating any residual soil. If you wish to obtain a lighter taste, add a little milk to the soaking water (the equivalent of a quarter of the amount of water).
